A well-established £90m turnover M&E contractor based in Essex is looking to appoint a Mechanical Estimator to join its growing pre-construction team. The business specialises in commercial projects up to £15m M&E value.
Role Overview
- Mechanical take-offs from drawings and tender information
- Full document control for tenders
- Liaison with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing
- Close coordination with Electrical Estimators to deliver fully compliant M&E tenders
- Review designs, specifications, and Value Engineering options
- Input take-offs into Trimble, develop and finalise quotations
- Prepare tender adjudications and report directly to the Director
Requirements
- Experience as a Mechanical Estimator within an M&E contracting environment
- Strong commercial project background
- Knowledge of current mechanical regulations and best practice
- Estimating software experience (Trimble preferred)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
