A well-established £90m turnover M&E contractor based in Essex is looking to appoint a Mechanical Estimator to join its growing pre-construction team. The business specialises in commercial projects up to £15m M&E value.

Role Overview

  • Mechanical take-offs from drawings and tender information
  • Full document control for tenders
  • Liaison with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing
  • Close coordination with Electrical Estimators to deliver fully compliant M&E tenders
  • Review designs, specifications, and Value Engineering options
  • Input take-offs into Trimble, develop and finalise quotations
  • Prepare tender adjudications and report directly to the Director

Requirements

  • Experience as a Mechanical Estimator within an M&E contracting environment
  • Strong commercial project background
  • Knowledge of current mechanical regulations and best practice
  • Estimating software experience (Trimble preferred)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
