Overview

We are representing a well-established and reputable national M&E contractor who are seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to join their London operations. The business delivers projects across the commercial, healthcare, education and data centre sectors and is known for high-quality delivery, strong client relationships and repeat business. This role will see you overseeing a portfolio of 3-4 live electrical projects, with Electrical Project Managers reporting directly into you. The position would suit a Senior or Electrical Project Manager looking to step up into a contracts role, or an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager seeking a more structured workload and improved work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of multiple electrical projects running concurrently
  • Lead, mentor and support Electrical Project Managers and site teams
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure electrical works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to required quality standards
  • Review electrical designs, technical submissions and project documentation
  • Drive commercial performance including forecasting, variations and cost control
  • Attend progress meetings and represent the business at a senior level
  • Support procurement strategies and oversee electrical supply chain compliance
  • Promote best practice, continuous improvement and a strong delivery culture

Requirements

  • Strong background managing electrical projects for an M&E or electrical contractor
  • Experience across commercial, healthcare, education or data centre sectors
  • Proven ability to manage multiple live projects and teams simultaneously
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical building services
  • Solid commercial awareness with strong reporting and cost control skills
  • Confident communicator with proven client-facing experience
  • Organised, proactive leader with a professional approach
