We are currently recruiting for an experienced Civil Operative (Dumper / Roller Driver) to join a substation project in Pembroke. This is a great opportunity for skilled operatives with a strong background in civil works and plant operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Drainage installations (surface water, foul water, oily water)
- Installation of HV & LV ducting and draw pits
- Installation of HV & LV precast troughs
- Excavation works and safe digging in line with HSG47
- Blinding and placement of concrete to foundations
- Reinstatement of excavations (backfill and compaction)
- Hand excavations
- Vehicle marshalling / banksman duties
- Operating plant including dumper and roller
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in civil works within a similar environment
- Competence in operating dumper and roller
- Strong understanding of safe digging practices (HSG47)
Desirable Certifications
- NPORS or CPCS Forward Tipping Dumper
- NPORS or CPCS Ride-On Roller
- Manual Handling
- HSG47 (2 Day)
- NG Persons
