Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor in City of London

Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor - Contract Central London | £475-£550 per day | Outside IR35 | Long-term contract We are recruiting a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor for an established M&E contractor with a turnover of approximately £160m. The business delivers residential, mixed-use and commercial projects with M&E values of up to £50m. You will join a commercial design and build project in central London during pre-construction, taking responsibility for its commercial management through delivery. This is a long-term contract with the opportunity to progress into a Commercial Manager role, overseeing multiple schemes. Key responsibilities Manage the commercial aspects of the M&E package from pre-construction through to final account. Prepare budgets, forecasts, cost reports and cash flow updates. Manage procurement, subcontractor packages, valuations and payments. Identify and manage variations, risks and commercial opportunities. Work closely with the project team to protect programme and margin. Lead negotiations and maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors. What we're looking for At least five years' experience working for an M&E contractor in a quantity surveying role. Proven experience commercially managing M&E projects valued at £10m or more. A relevant quantity surveying qualification. Strong knowledge of procurement, cost control, contracts and final accounts. The confidence to take commercial ownership of a major project and support the development of more junior team members. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term contract on a major central London scheme, with a clear route towards a multi-project Commercial Manager position.
