We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Resident Engineer (Civil Site Engineer) to join a National Grid substation project based in Cardiff. This is a long-term contract opportunity working on critical infrastructure within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out line and level using a range of surveying equipment
- Acting as Document Controller for all civil drawings
- Supporting the civil site team with constructability reviews
- Raising and managing Technical Queries (TQs)
- Assisting with obtaining quotes and raising purchase orders
- Producing and completing As-Built drawings
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience working on a National Grid site
- Must hold NG Persons certification
- Strong understanding of National Grid Technical Specifications (NGTS)
- Competent in setting out using surveying equipment
- Ability to manage documentation and drawings effectively
- Manual Handling certification
