Mechanical Project Managers (x2) - Commercial Fit-Out — Central London. £80,000 - £85,000 + Travel + Bonus + Pension + Healthcare.

Are you an experienced Mechanical Project Manager looking to join a well-established M&E contractor with an outstanding reputation in the commercial fit-out sector?

We're currently recruiting two Mechanical Project Managers on behalf of a £50m turnover M&E contractor that delivers high-profile commercial fit-out projects across London and the South East.

With a strong pipeline of secured work, including projects valued up to £20m M&E, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business that invests in its people and promotes from within.

This role will see you taking full responsibility for the mechanical package on prestigious commercial fit-out schemes, managing projects from pre-construction through to successful handover while working closely with clients, consultants and internal delivery teams.

Responsibilities

  • As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing mechanical packages on commercial fit-out projects valued at £5m+ M&E.
  • Leading projects from pre-construction, procurement and programme planning through to commissioning and final handover.
  • Managing site teams, subcontractors and specialist suppliers.
  • Working closely with commercial and design teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Attending client meetings and maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships.
  • Overseeing quality, health & safety and programme performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Managing procurement, technical submissions, RFIs and project documentation.
  • Supporting commissioning activities and ensuring a smooth client handover.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the commercial fit-out sector.
  • Experience delivering mechanical packages on projects valued at £5m+ M&E.
  • A relevant mechanical qualification (HNC/HND, Degree or recognised apprenticeship).
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
  • Experience taking projects from pre-construction through to handover.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A strong understanding of mechanical building services installation and project delivery.
