Are you an experienced Electrical Project Manager looking to lead a flagship commercial fit-out project with a well-established M&E contractor? We're currently recruiting on behalf of a leading building services contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-profile commercial projects across London. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Project Manager to take ownership of a landmark commercial fit-out project in North West London. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a financially secure business with a collaborative culture, offering genuine long-term career progression and exposure to prestigious projects.
The Role
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the electrical package, managing the project from pre-construction through to commissioning and final handover. Working closely with the client, consultants, design teams, commercial department, and site management, you will ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the electrical package from pre-construction through to project completion
- Coordinate design development, procurement, and project planning
- Lead site teams, Electrical Site Managers, Supervisors, and subcontractors
- Monitor programme, quality, commercial performance, and project milestones
- Manage procurement of materials and specialist subcontract packages
- Review technical submissions, RFIs, and project documentation
- Attend and chair client, consultant, and subcontractor meetings
- Ensure health & safety compliance throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and successful project handover
- Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within the Building Services or M&E sector
- Experience delivering commercial fit-out or commercial construction projects
- A proven track record of managing projects from pre-construction through to handover
- Relevant electrical qualifications (HNC/HND, Degree, City & Guilds or recognised apprenticeship)
- SMSTS
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services installations
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness with experience managing project programmes and budgets
