An exciting opportunity to have positive impact on a scalable business unit whilst developing and deploying Health, Safety, and Environmental processes and standards in collaboration with various other TLD Business Units.

Coupled with HSE, the incumbent Manager will oversee facilities management; this includes ensuring fixed assets are maintained in line with legislative requirements and ad hoc maintenance works.

This is an exciting role with accountability and impact across all operational functions.

It requires a personality that can influence and collaborate with the Steering Committee members; someone who can interpret and interrogate data, turn into tangible actions, and align the team through “setting the scene” to deliver a world class Health and Safety proposition whilst developing strong relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement health and safety programs to improve the sites and its employees’ HSE capability including conducting regular inspections and audits of equipment, materials, and work processes.
  • Overarching control of Risk Assessments and Work Instructions; through training and upskilling the Production Team Leaders to develop a key awareness and ownership of HSE throughout the organization.
  • Management of the HSE Committee including monitoring to closure of all HSE non-conformance whilst developing a collaborative and consultative approach with the wider workforce.
  • Maintain the facilities whilst coordinating with external contractors ensuring RAMs are completed and production capacity is not impacted.
  • Management of the Environmental Management System and all associated Controlled Documents, Processes, and corrective-preventative actions.

The HSE and Facilities Manager also facilitates the process for ISO14001 certification and internal/ external audits whilst engaging the Steering Committee on all aspects of ISO14001.

  • A true HSE Advocate who demonstrates a hands-on attitude and can implement change across a multitude of functions, influencing with authority, whilst aligning all departments with the shared commitment.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stay updated on HSE legislation to ensure organizational compliance, liaising with regulatory agencies where necessary.
  • Promoting Zero Harm culture and driving proactive Near Miss and Hazard reporting whilst implementing action to reduce risk to as low as reasonably practicable.
  • A large part of the role is influencing without authority (non-direct line reports) whilst training and increasing awareness.

This involves training sessions and education against Risk Assessments, safety procedures, and emergency procedures.
