Our internship programme is designed to provide a genuine insight into how a leading independent estate agency operates within one of London's most sought after property markets.

Whether your interest lies in sales, lettings, marketing, property management, operations or business development, our internships provide a broad understanding of the skills, standards and processes that drive a successful property business.

What You'll Be Doing

As a property management intern, you will become part of the property management team and gain first hand exposure to the day to day running of the business. No two weeks are ever the same, and interns are encouraged to get involved wherever they can add value. Your experience may include:

  • Assisting with the day to day management of residential tenancies
  • Supporting communication with landlords, tenants and contractors
  • Learning how maintenance issues are reported, coordinated and resolved
  • Assisting with property compliance, inspections and tenancy administration
  • Maintaining and updating internal property management systems and records
  • Supporting contractors and suppliers to ensure works are completed efficiently
  • Assisting with research, reporting and business improvement projects
  • Observing how our lettings, property management and accounts teams work together to deliver exceptional service to landlords and tenants

Who We're Looking For

This opportunity is ideal for individuals considering a career within the property industry who are looking to gain practical business experience in a professional environment. We are seeking bright, organised and proactive individuals who are comfortable communicating with a wide range of people, curious, ambitious and eager to learn. Successful interns will be willing to take ownership of tasks, work independently when required and develop an understanding of how a successful business operates behind the scenes. Previous property experience is not required. We are far more interested in attitude, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

During your internship, you will develop a practical understanding of the residential property industry while gaining exposure to sales, lettings, property management, block management and wider business operations. You will also learn how block management operates, including the day to day management of residential buildings, coordination of maintenance works, contractor management, health and safety compliance, resident communication and the upkeep of communal areas.

What You'll Gain

During your internship, you will develop a practical understanding of the residential property industry while gaining exposure to sales, lettings, property management and wider business operations. Working alongside experienced professionals in a prime London market, you will build confidence in a professional environment and develop valuable communication, organisational and commercial skills that will benefit you throughout your career. The experience gained will strengthen future university, apprenticeship and job applications, while providing a clear insight into potential career paths within the property sector. Many of our previous interns have gone on to secure roles within property and related industries, using their time at tlc as a strong foundation for future success.
