Our approach to specialised nursing and care is, we believe, second to none, with highly trained carers and nurses on hand 24 hours a day to provide assistance that meets the needs and wishes of each individual resident.
As a Wellbeing Facilitator, you will be the creative force behind engaging and meaningful activities that enrich the lives of our residents. Working closely with residents, relatives, colleagues, and the wider community, you will support residents to express their individual interests, wishes, and aspirations while helping to create opportunities that promote independence, happiness, and fulfilment.
You will help create a stimulating environment that encourages lifestyle choices, social interaction, personal development, and fun, whilst embracing our TLC values and supporting our journey towards outstanding care.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and deliver a variety of person-centred activities that meet residents' physical, emotional, social, and cultural needs.
- Support residents to maintain existing interests and discover new opportunities for enjoyment and engagement.
- Encourage and assist residents to participate in activities that promote wellbeing and independence.
- Carry out ongoing assessments of residents' interests, abilities, and activity requirements.
- Ensure new residents receive a warm welcome and positive introduction to life within the home.
- Take a hands‑on approach to delivering activities, events, and lifestyle opportunities.
About You
We are looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic, and compassionate individual who strives to make a positive difference every day.
Due to the nature of the role and the needs of our residents, flexibility is essential. The successful candidate will be required to work weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota basis to support the delivery of activities, events, and wellbeing programmes throughout the year.
Our residents' wellbeing is a seven-day commitment, and we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about creating meaningful experiences whenever they are needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience supporting, organising, or delivering activities, events, or wellbeing programmes.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong listening, written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues, and community groups.
- A caring, patient, and person-centred approach.
- The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
- Confidence using core Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A professional appearance and positive attitude.
- A commitment to supporting a "One Team" approach across the home.
