Job Description Workshop Manager \n Location : Unit A1, Fairoaks Airport, Chobham, Surrey, GU24 8HU Salary : £50,000+ DOE + £1,000 Welcome Bonus + £100 Monthly Attendance Bonus Contract : Full-time, Permanent Hours : Monday-Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm, with a 1-hour break Optional Saturdays : Paid at time and a half \n Join a Leading Automotive Repair Specialist! \n The Opportunity \n TLC Auto Refinishing is looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of a busy commercial vehicle repair workshop. \n You'll oversee 15-20 skilled operatives across Panel, Fabrication and Paint, driving productivity, quality and efficiency while ensuring the workshop operates safely and effectively. \n This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with strong bodyshop or automotive repair experience who knows how to get the best from a team. \n What You'll Do \n • Lead daily workshop operations, briefings and team performance. \n • Oversee Panel, Fabrication and Paint departments. \n • Manage final quality checks and resolve issues quickly. \n • Monitor timekeeping and performance through job clocking systems. \n • Drive cost-effective working and minimise material waste. \n • Report on workshop performance to management. \n • Motivate, support and lead the workshop team. \n What You'll Bring \n • 10+ years' experience in a bodyshop or automotive repair environment. \n • 5+ years' experience managing workshop teams. \n • Comfortable using Microsoft Office for reporting and scheduling. \n • Full driving licence. \n Desirable : HGV licence, first aid training and management qualifications. \n What's In It For You \n • £50,000+ per annum, DOE \n • £1,000 welcome bonus \n • £100 monthly attendance bonus \n • 28 days' holiday, including bank holidays and Christmas closure \n • NEST pension \n • Optional Saturday overtime paid at time and a half \n About TLC Auto Refinishing \n With over 20 years of experience, TLC Auto Refinishing is a trusted specialist in commercial vehicle repairs and bespoke body builds.
