Home Based: 3x a month in London and ad hoc customer meetings. We are seeking a National Account Manager or Commercial Manager to join the team to grow our relationship with Brakes & Bidfood. These are our two largest distributors, giving the successful candidate excellent exposure within the business for career development. This will be across both Branded & Private Label products. The position will also focus on growing these accounts further through increased market share and with new product development. There are exciting opportunities within our home baking and syrups ranges.
The Role:
- Responsible for managing & growing a portfolio of leading Foodservice Distributors (Bidfood and Brakes) and key End Users
- Execute the agreed sales strategy
- To develop, drive, own and implement channel and key customer plans
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with existing and non-trading customers
- Conduct sales negotiations with customers having responsibility for agreeing planned volume, price targets etc.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in designated customer portfolio
The Person:
- Proven track record of growing and delivering on Major Retail customers
- Preferably a “commodity” type product experience
- Proven success with selling NPD / product and range launches to customers
- Sales, Negotiation, Business Planning, Forecasting and Category Management
- Autonomous, flexible and driven
- Excel skills (Pivot tables & VLOOKUP etc.)
- Communication skills
- Strategic Thinker combined with Analytical capability
