POSITION SCOPE
- Reliability Engineer / Data Analyst within the Engineering Department at Plaistow
- Developing and managing packing and processing equipment asset care strategies at Plaistow
- Managing capital projects up to £500K
POSITION STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES AND KEY DELIVERABLES
- Increase plant reliability as measured by % downtime, % reactive work, lost opportunities, and maintenance costs
- Reduce the number of repeat plant failures through regular SAP / PBI data analysis
- Review critical asset spares and maintenance regimes
- Develop and analyze reliability KPIs
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer and review SAP maintenance system for budgeting, historical trends, and reliability analysis
- Provide analytical reports to management
- Own % planned maintenance, PM compliance, PM effectiveness, PdM compliance, and % downtime KPIs
- Improve reliability and uptime through best practice maintenance principles
- Create and update Planned Preventative and Predictive Maintenance routines based on FMECA to meet % downtime KPIs
- Develop and maintain 365 maintenance plans, linking planning, operations, and engineering
- Maintain overhaul schedules within SAP for packing and processing equipment
- Audit planned maintenance content and adherence regularly; review PM frequency based on reliability data
- Train engineering staff on SAP data input to ensure standardization
- Lead capital projects utilizing internal and contractor resources to improve plant efficiency and reduce downtime
- Facilitate RCA investigations and support continuous improvement culture
- Develop and maintain maintenance work instructions (written and video)
- Support Engineering Manager in implementing and maintaining ASR Global Engineering Standards
- Assist Area Maintenance Supervisors in planning corrective maintenance orders
- Manage engineering stock and repairable spares
- Manage contractors, permits, and TBRA’s
- Develop and execute contractor spend reduction strategies
- Perform other duties as required

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- HNC/NVQ 4 or higher in a relevant engineering discipline
