POSITION SCOPE
Provision of effective maintenance services to all plant/equipment used within the packing areas, with an emphasis on improving plant availability and reliability.
Shift: 3 Shift Rotation
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet or exceed all Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental targets.
- Carry out plant isolations.
- Maintain mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems within the Process, Packing, Utilities, and Jetty sections.
- Perform reactive maintenance as required by plant priorities.
- Follow maintenance plans and schedules.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily/weekly workload with the Area Maintenance Leader, including Preventative, Predictive, and improvement activities.
- Coordinate plant insurance inspections with insurance inspectors.
- Complete plant improvement projects as time permits.
- Supervise maintenance activities, optimizing resources and contractors to ensure high-quality repairs, servicing, and improvements.
- Liaise with contractors, manage RAMS and PTW procedures.
- Supervise cleaning resources to maintain plant hygiene.
- Manage SAP maintenance system for budgeting, trend analysis, reliability, and inventory management.
- Provide high-tension (HT) electrical cover for the site when necessary, following proper training and assessment.
- Conduct detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on component failures and implement modifications to improve reliability and performance.
- Estimate costs for improvement projects and prepare capital requests.
- Participate in all stages of capital projects, including pre-delivery inspections and installation of new equipment.
- Meet with suppliers and conduct audits or visits to supplier facilities as needed.
- Mentor, train, and advise team members on engineering practices and maintenance issues.
- Enhance plant reliability through increased uptime, OEE, and minimized lost opportunities.
- Achieve performance against job-specific KPIs.
- Maintain self-motivation and pursue continuous personal development.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrate problem-solving abilities and provide long-term solutions.
- Be multi-skilled across various engineering trades.

ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCES
- Maintenance experience in an automated continuous process environment, including PLC and/or HT systems.
- Experience with predictive and preventative maintenance techniques and regimes.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Preferably an HNC/NVQ 4 in an engineering discipline, or at least a BTEC/ONC in a relevant discipline.
