POSITION SCOPE
Provision of an effective maintenance service to all plant/equipment used within the refining and packing areas, with emphasis on improving plant availability & reliability.
Shift: Mon-Fri Days
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet or better all Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental targets.
- Carry out plant isolations.
- Maintain mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems within Process, Packing, Utilities, and Jetty sections.
- Perform reactive maintenance as required.
- Follow maintenance plans and schedules.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily/weekly workload with the Area Maintenance Leader, including Preventative, Predictive, and improvement activities.
- Coordinate plant insurance inspections with inspectors.
- Complete plant improvement projects as time permits.
- Supervise maintenance activities, optimize resources, and manage contractors to ensure quality repairs and improvements.
- Liaise with contractors, manage RAMS and PTW procedures.
- Supervise cleaning resources to maintain plant hygiene.
- Administer SAP maintenance system for budgeting, trend analysis, reliability, and inventory management.
- Provide High Tension (HT) electrical cover following appropriate training.
- Conduct RCA on component failures and implement modifications to improve reliability and performance.
- Estimate costs for improvement projects and prepare capital requests.
- Participate in all stages of capital projects, including inspections, installation, and commissioning.
- Meet with suppliers, conduct audits, and visit suppliers’ premises as needed.
- Mentor, train, and advise team members on engineering and maintenance practices.
- Measure plant reliability by uptime, OEE, and lost opportunities.
- Achieve performance against job-specific KPIs.
- Maintain self-motivation and pursue personal development.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills and provide long-term solutions.
- Be multi-skilled across various engineering trades.

ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCES
- Maintenance experience in an automated continuous process environment, including PLC and/or HT systems.
- Experience with Predictive and Preventative maintenance techniques.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Preferably an HNC/NVQ 4 in an engineering discipline, or at least BTEC/ONC in a relevant discipline.
