European Tour Productions (IMG) is searching for a talented and creative Assistant Producer to join us on the Tournament Content Team – a role that will put you at the heart of the action. We create compelling digital content at golf tournaments around the globe, on both the DP World Tour and Hotel Planner Tour, and at one of the biggest events on the sporting calendar – the Ryder Cup.

Our output is broad – player interviews, promos, news, highlights and original social-first short-form content, so you’ll have the chance to tell engaging sports stories in a wide variety of ways, to a global audience. You would be involved in capturing, editing, producing, and delivering all that and more – so you’ll need a balance of technical, creative, and editorial skills. Plus, a positive, can-do attitude.

So, if you are the type of creative who is adaptable, technically confident (shooting on Sony FX6 or similar and knocking up a scroll-stopping edit on Premiere Pro) and thrives whether you’re shooting solo or collaborating in a high-energy team, we want to hear from you.

European Tour Productions is part of IMG and serves the European Tour Group to produce and distribute golf coverage of the DP World Tour, The Hotel Planner Tour, The Ryder Cup and The Open. In this capacity, ETP has produced the live coverage for hundreds of events around the world and not just in Europe. We travel to tournaments across 5 continents and have produced the last twelve Ryder Cups as well as The Open since 2016.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Create entertaining short form edits for both broadcast and digital platforms.
  • Support the news team remotely when required using cloud-based production workflows.
  • Responsible for single camera production as and when required.
  • You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the role.

Skills and Abilities

  • A proactive and creative mindset, someone who always looks to elevate the output and take pride in their work.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal) and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • An understanding of post-production workflows, from media management to delivery formats for digital platforms.
  • Engaged in social media, with an ability to spot trends and tell stories to a modern audience.
  • Excellent customer facing skills, to represent both IMG and the European Tour group to the public/potential contributors.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Producer in media production, being in sports media would be a plus.
  • Proven experience of self-shooting, using a Sony FX6 camera or equivalent.
  • Experience of self-editing using Premiere Pro (and Creative Cloud) or producing edits either for promos, short features or more social-focused content.
  • Experience of directing single camera shoots, sourcing and, more specifically, interviewing contributors.
  • Experience of dealing with Talent (e.g. presenters, commentators, sports stars).
  • Experience of writing high-quality scripts for short features and promos.
  • Outstanding knowledge of Golf.

Working Conditions

This is a permanent role, based at IMG Studios in Stockley Park. The role will involve attending (and travelling to) location shoots, occasionally internationally.
