An exciting opportunity to oversee our ambitious MLS Remote Production, managing the delivery of over 300 MLS fixtures per season, communicating with both federation and IMG’s US based football operation and managing the scheduling, performance and development of the freelance production team, in conjunction with the Executive Producer.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

  • Coordination and ultimate oversight of all MLS Remote Production, matchday coverage from our facility at Stockley Park.
  • Overall responsibility for freelance bookings and schedule for Directors, Match Producers and Replay Operators, considering other IMG Productions where overlap may impact either production.
  • Manage UK relationship with MLS and other key stakeholders.
  • Continually review and evaluate the coverage in conjunction with MLS and US Production team.
  • Coordinate all key deliverables and surrounding workflows.
  • Working with US team to coordinate weekly requirements.
  • GFX research and coordination for pre‑match sponsored deliverables.
  • Coordinate the pre‑match materials for all production staff and talent.
  • Final oversight and responsibility for all Remote Production related Matchday reports.
  • Keeping all relevant spreadsheets and documentation up to date.
  • Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with key departmental personnel.
  • Effective Support for the Production Team.
  • Delivery of quality and consistent broadcasts on time and on budget, in accordance with client requirements.
  • Development of the live output, demonstrating editorial judgment and creative flair.
  • Responding to feedback from Head of Football, Executive Producer, clients and broadcaster.

Knowledge And Experience

  • Considerable experience as a Director or Producer in live football production environments.
  • Specialist knowledge of the MLS, or football in general.
  • Understanding of production budgets.
  • Experience of dealing with Talent (e.g. commentators, voice over artists).
  • Experience of scheduling tools.
  • Understanding of Remote Production Workflows.
  • Understanding of Simply Live (Riedel) technologies.

Skills And Abilities

  • Ability to make editorial decisions without direct supervision.
  • Maintain good client / broadcaster relationships where appropriate.
  • Demonstrates strong editorial judgment.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership.
  • Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively with wider department.
  • Live directing experience.
  • MLS Knowledge.
  • Technically proficient in live/OB production.
  • Excel.

Working Conditions

This role is based at IMG Offices, Stockley Park. This is a Fixed‑Term contract for 12 months. You will be required to work on all MLS and Leagues Cups match rounds the majority of which are weekends and overnight. This includes the festive period, Easter and bank holidays.
