The Mill Primary Academy is at a pivotal point in its journey. We are looking for an ambitious, data-driven, and highly skilled SENCO to join our Senior Leadership Team. You will be a skillful instructional leader – well able to teach alongside teachers in classrooms to model how to get the best for their children, and you will model inclusivity highly effectively. This is not just a coordination role; it is a transformational leadership position. You will have the mandate and the support to refine our systems, sharpen our evaluations, and ensure that every pupil—regardless of their starting point—achieves excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to hold staff to account while offering high-quality support.
- The ability to translate complex pupil data into clear, actionable reports for Trustees and Governors.
- Deep understanding of how to adapt the National Curriculum for various high-incidence needs without lowering expectations.
- A strong grasp of Early Years pedagogy, specifically in early literacy and numeracy development.
- Highly effective at communicating with parents and external agencies to ensure the 'Graduated Approach' is robust.
- Can monitor teaching quality and pupil achievement.
- Able to undertake day-to-day coordination of SEN pupil's provisions through close liaison with staff, parents, and external agencies.
- A great communicator, developing positive relationships with young children and adults.
