The Teacher of Maths will deliver high-quality, engaging, and rigorous instruction, ensuring that all students make excellent progress and develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver a high-quality and ambitious maths curriculum across KS3 and KS4.
  • Implement evidence-based teaching strategies to foster fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Engage in instructional coaching and collaborative planning to continuously refine teaching practice.
  • Use assessment intelligently to diagnose misconceptions, provide targeted feedback, and close attainment gaps.
  • Inspire students to see the beauty and utility of mathematics, encouraging them to pursue the subject beyond GCSE.

We are seeking a passionate practitioner who shares our ambition for every child. We welcome applications from experienced teachers looking for additional responsibilities, as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Experience for Experienced Teachers: A proven track record of delivering strong outcomes and a readiness to take on additional departmental or whole school responsibilities.

For ECTs: A successful training placement with the potential to become an outstanding practitioner under the guidance of our expert mentors. Experience in planning lessons that challenge high-attainers while supporting those with SEND or low prior attainment.

Subject Knowledge: Expert subject knowledge with the ability to teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4. A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and GCSE assessment frameworks.

Qualities:

  • The ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
  • Strong collaborative skills, working effectively within the maths team to share best practices.
