The ideal Cover Manager will be someone who:

• Demonstrates strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills to handle unexpected absences and shifting daily schedules.
• Is IT literate and confident using school management information systems (such as Arbor or SIMS) and digital timetable tools.
• Efficiently manages internal cover and liaises with supply agencies to secure high-quality cover staff at the best value.
• Confidently supervises classes and delivers planned lessons in the absence of timetabled teachers, maintaining high standards of behavior and learning.
• Builds warm, positive, and respectful relationships with pupils while supporting classroom management.
• Handles medical, personal, or HR-related staff absence with a high level of discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality.
