We're looking to recruit a Procurement and Contracts Partner who understands that “Value for Money” isn’t just about spreadsheets; it’s about ensuring every pound saved is reinvested back into the classroom. This role reports directly to the Head of Procurement & Contracts within the Kemnal Academies Trust.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver the end‑to‑end procurement life cycle—from preparing tender documents to moderating submissions and awarding contracts.
  • Qualify and award contracts, ensuring compliance with Public Contracts Regulations and Kemnal strategy.
  • Advise headteachers, business managers and senior leadership on procurement matters.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to drive down costs while maintaining high quality.
  • Innovate procurement practices and identify technological tools to improve contract compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure their specific school needs are met.

Qualifications

  • Hold a CIPS Level 4 Diploma (or equivalent) and a solid grasp of procurement systems and legislation.
  • Proven experience running procurement processes, developing evaluation criteria and managing low‑to‑medium risk contracts.
  • Analytical skills to analyse statistical data for costs, inflation and performance.
  • Tech‑savvy: proficient with Google Suite and e‑tendering platforms.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel across the Trust’s regions.
