Miltoncross Academy is seeking a Career Guidance Coordinator to develop and lead the school’s careers programme, ensuring it meets the Gatsby Benchmarks and prepares students for post‑16 education and employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a comprehensive careers programme aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks.
- Lead the academy’s efforts to support students in making informed post‑16 education and career choices.
- Build strong relationships with staff, students and external providers to deliver effective career guidance services.
- Provide professional development to staff on careers and contribute to the academy’s professional development schedule.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of education, training and employment opportunities for students.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience working with young people in education, youth work or careers education.
- Knowledge of CEIAG guidelines and best practice in career guidance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience leading the development and delivery of a careers programme is desirable.
