Overview

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, proactive and highly efficient Family & Community Engagement Leader to promote family and community engagement across two schools in Margate. This role involves working with parents, families and potentially whole communities on a range of educational, attendance and supportive projects. It includes organising events, coordinating adult support workshops and facilitating community outreach. Furthermore, to seek development opportunities for the schools in order to address unmet need – creatively finding additional resources and working in partnership. Responsibilities include fostering strong partnerships and providing clear lines of communication between school, parents, providers and the local community to improve outcomes, a sense of belonging and attendance for all. We particularly welcome applicants with knowledge of working with communities within the area and more than one language.

Responsibilities

  • Organise events and coordinate adult support workshops for families and the wider community.
  • Facilitate community outreach and develop opportunities to address unmet needs through partnerships and resource development.
  • Foster strong partnerships and maintain clear communication between the school, parents, providers and the local community.
  • Work to improve outcomes, a sense of belonging and attendance for all students.
  • Engage with communities within the area and, where possible, utilise more than one language to support engagement.
