Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Drama lessons across Key Stages, ensuring all students make strong progress.
- Develop and implement a creative and inclusive Drama curriculum that inspires a love of performance and theatre.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, using data to inform planning and support individual achievement.
- Differentiating teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and EAL.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment.
- Direct and contribute to school productions, performances, and showcases, including after-school rehearsals.
- Encourage students' confidence, creativity, and teamwork through practical and performance-based learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the Performing Arts department to share resources and develop best practice.
- Support enrichment opportunities such as drama clubs, workshops, and external performance events.
- Uphold safeguarding procedures and contribute to the wider pastoral care and well-being of students.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience of, or strong understanding of, teaching Drama across Key Stage 3 and 4.
- A passion for Performing Arts and the ability to inspire and engage students.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- A reflective, collaborative approach to teaching and professional development.
