Join our Merchandising and Buying Development Programme (MBDP) and gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment. From day one, you’ll make real commercial decisions, develop analytical skills, and learn how Merchandising and Buying work together to deliver value to our customers. You’ll build strong relationships across the business and gain exposure to multiple product areas, giving you the skills and experience to thrive in a dynamic retail market.
What You’ll Do
- Start your journey in Merchandising at our European Head Office with a 12‑week induction and training program, gaining a full understanding of our business and the fundamental partnership between Merchandising and Buying.
- Take on the role of an Allocation Analyst, managing product distribution across stores for your department – anything from Men’s T‑Shirts to Toys – whilst working closely with Buyers on what they have bought.
- Develop analytical skills by analysing sales trends, inventory levels, and demand forecasts, while building your commercial skills through spending time in both our stores and the competition.
Qualifications
- A degree in any discipline.
- Fluent in English (another European language or cultural familiarity is a plus).
- Analytical and commercially minded: confident with Excel, comfortable interpreting data, and curious about retail.
- Collaborative and relationship‑focused: strong communicator who builds trust, shares ideas, and thrives in a team.
- Ambitious and adaptable: takes initiative, learns from mistakes, and thrives in a fast‑changing environment where decisions happen quickly.
