Night Escalator Engineer – Gatwick Airport, TK Elevator
Gatwick Airport is a 24/7/365 operation. This is a shift role with hours 6pm‑6am on a 4‑on‑4‑off basis.
Responsibilities
- Servicing and maintaining customer lifts
- Repairing or replacing lift parts
- Responding to mechanical failures and breakdowns
- Carrying out safety checks and risk assessments
- Planning and managing workload around assigned jobs
- Maintaining van stock and ordering supplies through our supply chain
- Recommending parts and equipment that need to be quoted or ordered to keep the lifts compliant
Qualifications
- NVQ3 in Escalator Engineering or equivalent qualifications
- Hold a full UK Driving License
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use initiative and work well with others
- Positive attitude and receptive to change
- Extremely organised
- Superior customer‑care skills
