We are currently seeking an Electronics Repair Engineer to join our ITS Manchester team on a 12 month FTC, with experience to repair and refurbish a diverse range of Inverter Drives and Printed Circuits Boards (PCB) from a wide range of manufacturers. You will be working alongside an array of industry experts from a diverse spectrum of backgrounds, which combined form a highly skilled group of engineers and in‑house business support. You will contribute to our ongoing research & discovery work to develop innovative ways of repairing complex electronic failures. You will engage & collaborate with talented colleagues from across the world and deliver first‑class service to our customers and clients.
As an Electronics Repairs Engineer, your day to day will include:
- Implement strict company procedures and relevant safety guidelines
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Diagnose and repair Inverter drives and PCBs to component level
- Comprehensive functional diagnosis and testing of electronic equipment ensuring quality and performance standards are met
- Generate detailed fault reports for customers and update internal databases
- Provide regular updates on job progress to management and relevant stakeholders
- Research & procurement of electronic components
- Experienced with operating 3‑phase equipment
Who we are looking for:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an electronic repair or diagnostics environment
- Proficient in both surface mount technology (SMT) and through‑hole component repair
- Proven soldering and de‑soldering skills with attention to precision and quality
- Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot and fault‑find to individual components level
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive attitude, capable of working to meet customer deadlines
- Competency for working independently and as part of a team
- An investigative mind‑set that can implement solutions using industry best practices
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service and problem‑solving skills
- NVQ4/HND (or similar) qualification an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
