T&K Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client in Swadlincote for a number of Factory Operatives to join their team on a Temporary to Permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a Company that invests heavily in their staff. They offer excellent training, some fantastic benefits and a friendly working environment. The role will be starting on a day shift and moving onto a rotating shift pattern once fully trained.
Factory Operative Job Details & Benefits:
- Monday–Thursday 6:00–15:30 & Fridays 6:00–10:00 (with Friday overtime mandatory when required)
- Starting salary £28,080 with the opportunity to rise to £33,280 with training sign off.
- Weekly pay
- Permanent role after 12 weeks
- Additional training offered on forklift, loading shovel etc with the opportunity of progressing within the Company

As a Factory Operative you could be working across a number of departments where duties vary depending on the area, however, could include the following:
- Cutting sheets of metal
- Weighing and labelling products
- Stacking products onto pallets manually
- Performing machine checks
- Quality checking the products
- Forklift operation – training is provided
- Working outside on the yard loading scrap metal using JCB shovel
- Using overhead crane
- Working to and ensuring targets/deadlines are met
- Adhere to H&S within the workplace
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment
Factory Operative Person Specification:
- No beards (due to half-face mask use)
- Blood test is required quarterly due to the nature of products handled
- Must be physically fit due to lifting and moving the product
- Happy to stand for the duration of your shift & complete repetitive duties
- A valid FLT licence is desirable however not essential as training is available if interested
