T&K Associates are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Assembler to join our client based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a friendly Company that has expanded over the years. Previous Mechanical Assembly experience isn’t required as the Company can offer full training, however the successful candidate must have some assembly experience.

Job Details & Benefits:

  • Monday – Friday, 6am-2pm or 8am-4pm
  • £12.71 per hour
  • 28 days holiday to start including bank holidays increasing with length of service to a maximum of 33 days including bank holidays

Main Duties:

  • Mechanical assembly of enclosures and assemblies
  • Using hand tools including screwdrivers, torque screwdrivers, and torque wrenches
  • Applying Loctite and other assembly materials correctly
  • Following assembly instructions and build documentation
  • Ensuring products are assembled carefully without scratches, dents, or cosmetic damage
  • Carrying out visual checks throughout assembly
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area
  • Supporting continuous improvement within the department
  • Following company quality procedures and health & safety requirements

Person Specification:

  • Must have previous assembly experience
  • Basic experience using hand tools
  • Good attention to detail
  • Careful and methodical approach to work
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Good manual dexterity and a steady hand
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
