T&K Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client in Coalville for a Production Manager to join their team on a Permanent basis. This is a really exciting opportunity as our Client is a market leader within their industry with an expanding product range, therefore it is a fantastic time to join their business and be part of an expanding friendly team.

Job Details & Benefits:

  • £40,000.00 circa depending on experience
  • Monday to Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm & Friday 7:30am-1pm

Job Duties:

  • To be the business lead on all matters concerning production
  • To manage the Departments Training Plans and ensure all employees are multi-skilled across various Production activities, maintaining Competency Matrix, Individual training plans and Appraisals
  • To actively lead the Production Team Leaders by means of coaching, mentoring and guidance
  • To regularly liaise with other managers ensuring Production Schedules are delivered to the Production Lines
  • Maintain positive working relations with key stakeholders within the business
  • Estimate costs and prepare budgets in line with Operational objectives
  • Ensure production is carried out within the timeframes set to meet loading deadlines and successful dispatch to customers
  • To ensure product quality is maintained in line with the businesses Quality Management systems
  • In conjunction with the Production Team Leaders ensure adequate resources (workforce, raw materials etc.) are in place to meet daily targets
  • To liaise with Stock control to ensure stock levels are sufficient to achieve build program
  • Oversee regular stock checks, identifying potential shortfalls
  • Support the implementation of engineering changes, production trials, model change and pilot builds
  • To manage the Production teams time, attendance and bonus scheme
  • To accurately collate the Departments statistical data for analysis and review
  • Daily, weekly, monthly reporting of departments KPIs, providing regular reports for performance, safety and training outcomes to senior management
  • In conjunction with the other operations managers, oversee the cleanliness of the yard
  • To manage all Human Resource and Employee relations requirements of the Production department

Person Specification:

  • Previous management experience is essential
  • To be able to demonstrate coaching, mentoring and employee relations skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP software (SAP)
  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
  • Experience in reporting on key production metrics
