Due to significant growth, T&K Associates are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our clients engineering team who are based in Measham on a permanent basis. The role involves carrying out preventative maintenance on machines and equipment, responding to emergency breakdowns across the plant, and supporting the installation, movement, overhaul, and repair of machinery. You will ensure all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and is fit for purpose, in line with safe working procedures and good manufacturing practice.
Please note must have own transport due to location.
Maintenance Engineer Job Details and Benefits:
- £39,780 per annum
- Overtime available (paid at standard hourly rate £18.00ph)
- Average of approximately 42.5 hours per week
- 4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern
- 12-hour shifts alternating between 6:00am-6:00pm and 6:00pm-6:00am
- Covers a 7-day operation
- Paid breaks - engineers are required to respond to breakdowns during breaks and take break time later if interrupted
- 20 days holiday plus statutory entitlements

Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:
- Understand production priorities to ensure maintenance activities support production targets
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and routine servicing of machinery and equipment
- Respond promptly to emergency machine breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Install new equipment and assist with the movement, overhaul, and upgrade of existing machinery
- Perform overhauls and repairs of plant and machinery, including PLC-controlled systems
- Carry out electrical installations and work with single-phase and three-phase electrical circuits
- Conduct fault finding, testing, and repair or adjustment of fittings, fixtures, and components
- Diagnose faults and implement the most cost-effective solutions where specifications are not available
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment in line with client procedures
- Coordinate and work alongside contractors
- Notify operations of any risks to product safety or quality
- Communicate clearly with management regarding breakdowns, repair timescales, and downtime costs
- Undertake any other associated duties as required
Maintenance Engineer Person Specification:
- Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience working with PLCs
- Good understanding of health & safety, food safety, and quality standards
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently on long shifts
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
