T&K Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client in Swadlincote for a number of Factory Labourers to join their team on a Temporary to Permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a Company that invests heavily in their staff. They offer excellent training, some fantastic benefits, and a friendly working environment.
The role will be starting on a day shift and moving onto a rotating shift pattern once fully trained.
Factory Labourer Job Details & Benefits:- Rotating shifts Monday-Thursday 6:00-15:30 & Fridays 6:00-10:00 (with Friday overtime mandatory when required) and an afternoon shift every 3rd week Monday-Thursday 13:00-22:30.
- Starting hourly rate of £13.50 with the opportunity to rise to £16 with training sign off.
- Weekly pay.
- Permanent role after 12 weeks.
- Additional training offered on forklift, loading shovel etc with the opportunity of progressing within the Company.
- Holidays - 22 days + bank holidays when permanent, increasing to 25 days in length of service.

As a Factory Labourer, you could be working across a number of departments where duties vary depending on the area, however, could include the following:
- Cutting sheets of metal.
- Weighing and labelling products.
- Stacking products onto pallets manually.
- Performing machine checks.
- Quality checking the products.
- Forklift operation - training is provided.
- Working outside on the yard loading scrap metal using JCB shovel.
- Using overhead crane.
- Working to and ensuring targets/deadlines are met.
- Adhere to H&S within the workplace.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
- No beards (due to half-face mask use).
- Blood test is required quarterly due to the nature of products handled.
- Must be physically fit due to lifting and moving the product.
- Happy to stand for the duration of your shift & complete repetitive duties.
- A valid FLT licence is desirable; however, not essential as training is available if interested.
