T&K Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client in Ashby-de-la-Zouch for an AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) Operator working on a rotating days and afternoon shift on a Temporary to Permanent Basis. AOI Operator Job Details & Benefits:
- Rotating shifts;
- Week 1 - Monday - Friday 6am-2pm
- Week 2 - Monday - Thursday 2pm-10:45pm and Friday 2pm-7pm
- £14.53 per hour, including shift premium

AOI Operator Job Details:
- Program and inspect PCBAs using the AOI machine to identify poor quality products
- Inspect boards using relevant and automated inspection technology to verify product quality following SMT assembly
- For existing programs; assess boards against programmed inspection criteria, highlighting any components which do not meet quality standards
- For new builds; visually inspect the board and documentation against customer requirements and component data sheets, escalating any discrepancy to a team leader prior to AOI program creation
- Once a board has been checked to customer requirements, take a master image and create a program in line with work instruction (QAI) on the appropriate inspection machine
- Inspect all boards to program, recording all discrepancies and physically highlighting genuine failures
- Amend existing AOI programs to incorporate customer changes or quality failures
- Visually inspect any components which are unable to be automatically inspected
- Ensure all failures are recorded accurately within the AOI system by board serial number
AOI Operator Person Specification:
- Base Level IT/Programming/Software operating skills to then be enhanced when training
- Keen to learn new skills
- Excellent eye for detail
- Enjoy following processes to a high standard
- Can work both independently and as part of a small team
