Due to exceptional growth, T&K Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client in Swadlincote for a Maintenance Engineer to join their expanding team on a permanent basis. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be working as part of a team reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager. You will perform routine and more complex mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance and installation of equipment promptly to minimise changes to site operations, all within your capabilities following the site training matrix. Maintenance Engineer Details & Benefits:
- £43,153-£45,020 per annum including shift pay
- Annual bonus – 5% of the base salary
- Permanent role
- Monday to Friday covering the hours of 6am to 10pm on a 4 week rotation (6-2, 8-4, 6-2, 2-10 – no nights)

Maintenance Engineer Job Details:
- Provide a maintenance service which covers mechanical disciplines, maybe electrical depending on experience
- Manage routine, preventative, and planned maintenance of the plant/equipment
- Provide technical support/input to projects
- Perform modifications and installations
- Maintain a CMMS Planned Preventative Maintenance system using SAP
- Work with or alongside contractors whilst installing/maintaining equipment
- Respond to emergency breakdowns including finding and fixing faults
- Follow all Company procedures
Maintenance Engineer Person Specification:
- Previous experience in food manufacturing is essential
- Served a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship in mechanical engineering
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Engineering maintenance or equivalent
- Some knowledge of electrical systems including control systems would be beneficial but not essential
- Mechanical repairs and fault-finding skills
- Experience of welding and fabrication is essential
- Be conversant with Health & Safety requirements and to perform tasks under current legislation
- Use of hand power tools
