The Role
- As a Vehicle Technician, you will carry out the full range of mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance across a variety of vehicles.
- Day-to-day duties include:
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using industry-standard diagnostic equipment
- Performing repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, and electrical systems
- Conducting thorough vehicle inspections in line with manufacturer specifications
- Maintaining accurate workshop records of all inspections, repairs, and parts used
- Ensuring all work meets health and safety regulations and company procedures
- Delivering excellent customer service and communicating repair requirements clearly to customers
Hours & Pay
- Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (dependent on experience)
- Bonus scheme: negotiable for the right candidate
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (flexible)
- Saturday overtime: available for those who want it
- Holiday: 28 days per year including bank holidays
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Automotive Technician
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
