At TJX Europe, every day brings new opportunities for growth, exploration, and achievement. You will be part of our vibrant team that embraces diversity, fosters collaboration, and prioritises your development. Whether you are working in our Distribution Centers, Corporate Offices, or Retail Stores—TK Maxx & Homesense, you will find abundant opportunities to learn, thrive, and make an impact.
Roles start on Monday the 7th of July 2025. Your journey will begin at our European head office in Watford, UK in the Merchandising team, where you will learn about our business fully and begin to drive results in an entrepreneurial way from day one. This will begin with a comprehensive induction and training plan, including both classroom and practical workshops for you to understand how fundamental the partnership between Merchandising and Buying is in delivering value to our customers online and in store.
Your first role will be as an Allocation Analyst and your development within Merchandising will be varied and often self-driven. You will be responsible for creating the best mix of products, and shipping them to our stores, working closely with the Buyers on what they bought. We are seeking candidates who thrive on interpreting data and enjoy putting their strong analytical skills to use. You will be analysing trends and building your commercial skills by also spending time in both our stores and in the competition.
Your typical day to day will differ; however, your role will generally involve managing the distribution of products to our stores for your department. This could range from anything to Men’s T Shirts to Bathroom Accessories. This will include tasks such as analysing sales trends, inventory levels and demand forecasts to determine how much of each product should be allocated to different stores. You will collaborate with various teams including your Merchandising & Buying teams to ensure products are distributed effectively. Overall, theory focuses on optimising product distribution whilst tracking performance to inform decision-making.
Merchandising takes an entrepreneurial approach to planning and trading to drive business, while our buyers constantly seal the best deals by securing new opportunities in the marketplace. The merchant skills overlapping both functions provide the dynamic flexibility that helps us deliver exceptional value to our customers. We are an ambitious business with exciting expansion plans across our European Markets. We believe in nurturing talent, and view everyone as a potential leader of the future. You will be empowered to make decisions from the outset and learn quickly in our fast-paced environment. Acquiring the skills needed to perform these early roles sets you on the path to becoming a great Merchandiser or Buyer in the future. You will gain experience across the business with the opportunity to work in several different product areas. You will build relationships with lots of different Merchandisers and Buyers – it’s the best way to learn what we do, and how we do it.
Required Fluency in English is required, and it is desirable, but not essential, to be fluent in another EU language (German, Italian, French, Dutch, Spanish, or Polish). This supports us in diversifying the Merchandising population to reflect our TJX Europe customer base and to fulfil internal expansion plans. Cultural familiarity (for example, experience living abroad) is also desirable, but not essential.
