Summary

The Manager of Retail Operations reports to the VP Retail Director, supporting them in their delivery of the business goals and priorities for their market. The role is a key partner to the field team and Central and Store Operations in proactively addressing and identifying opportunities to optimise operational efficiencies and processes. The Manager Of Operations utilises reporting, data analysis and trends to support, influence and make recommendations to the VP Retail Director and Regional Operations Directors to drive profitable sales and efficient performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with VP Retail Director and AVP Retail Operations Directors to shape, influence and deliver the UK & Ireland Retail Strategy, providing operational expertise, performance insight and market intelligence to support strategic decision making.
  • A critical partner to Store Operations and Central Operations in co-ordinating all operational activity across UK and Ireland Retail, whilst stakeholdering the VP Retail Director and AVP Retail Operations Directors, and creating plans to implement and execute.
  • Ownership and accountability for the operational workstream of UK and Ireland Retail, including business cycles, capital activity, headcount and budget, peak preparation, resource management and cost control.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to leverage and optimise operational efficiencies enabling AVP, Retail Operations Directors and District Managers to focus on driving trade and profitable sales.
  • Collaborate with all cross-functional stakeholders in order to support the execution and embedding of key business initiatives.
  • Utilise reporting and data trend analysis in order to support, influence and make recommendations to the VP Retail Director, Retail Operations Directors, Store and Central Operations, Finance and other critical stakeholders to drive effective performance.
  • Provide timely insights of market performance across all key KPIs in order to inform the operational activity and priorities.
  • Representative voice for UK and Ireland Retail for all business projects and initiatives with relevant functions and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a strong commercial and operational knowledge of the Off-Price model in order to provide a credible and informed UK and Ireland Retail perspective on all operational workstreams.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Established, experienced and proven track record of high performance in a Manager Of level leadership role.
  • Understanding and experience of leading within the Off-Price model.
  • Deep knowledge and experience across both banners in Retail.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and curiosity to navigate complexities with a strong capability to understand and interpret market requirements.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, based on benefit to the wider business.
  • Excellent influencing, collaboration and communication skills to build sustainable and effective partnerships and stakeholder at all levels of the business.
