Job Description:
Team Leader (Copywriter)
14 Month Secondment Maternity Cover.
As a Team Leader you will be at the heart of the photo studio. You will work closely alongside the studio manager and other team leaders to deliver the vision and strategy for FY23. You will need to inspire the trust and respect of the team and stimulate production within the photo studio.
Working as a member of the copy team you will be delivering copy of the highest standard alongside monitoring and guiding the team of copywriters. You will be prepared to develop your knowledge and skills across all areas of the photo studio and wider business. You will be required to motivate the team, challenge when necessary and should be a confident and clear communicator with excellent organisational skills.
You will be based at the photo studio in Rugby and will be required to work full time hours - 37.5 hours across 5 days of the week.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Proactively collaborating and communicating with other team leaders, the studio manager and other cross-functional business teams. Working effectively as part of the team and demonstrating commitment, focus and drive to deliver studio goals

Positively influencing the team, providing them with support where required

Using initiative and experience to make informed decisions

Allocation and sortation of stock, ensuring a smooth flow of product through the studio process following the usual date prioritisation

Managing the team: inputting sickness, absence and holiday

Managing figures and reporting these to the required parts of the business

Tracking performance and efficiency and feeding this back to the team on a regular basis to ensure maximum quality output

Exploring and developing talent within the team, identifying talent and potential in others: developing individuals, providing balanced and timely feedback to measure associate performance

Produce engaging and enticing copy, highlighting USP’s and targeting the TKMaxx audience effectively

Support the team through times of transition and advise where necessary

Tailoring content and ensure it is consistently in alignment with the TKMaxx brand

Updating style guide and liaising with buyers and merchandisers to explore their wants when marketing the products, managing expectations around this and tracking the process from development to implementation

Assisting the copywriting team through transition to AI generated Copy.
