TJD Trade Ltd is delivering a significant multi-million-pound property development project in Bedford, alongside managing an active local property portfolio. We are seeking a capable, commercially minded and hands-on individual to work directly alongside the Managing Director. This is not a traditional PA role and there is no diary management. It is a varied, responsible position requiring strong Excel capability, commercial awareness and a willingness to contribute fully to both strategic work and the day-to-day running of a busy office.
You will share workload with the MD — from reviewing development budgets and analysing costs, to dealing with customer enquiries and operational matters. This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable with numbers, problem-solving and picking up the phone.
Key Responsibilities- Reviewing and analysing development budgets using Excel
- Monitoring project costs and identifying discrepancies
- Supporting cash flow and financial reviews
- Reviewing tenders, invoices and commercial documentation
- Liaising with contractors, consultants and professional advisers
- Preparing reports, summaries and structured updates
- Tracking actions and deadlines across projects
- Dealing with customer and tenant enquiries professionally
- Handling incoming calls and managing issues confidently
- Supporting the day-to-day running of a busy office
- Assisting with general administrative duties
- Coordinating with the internal team to resolve operational matters
- Being hands-on and contributing wherever needed

Remuneration£32,000 – £55,000 depending on experience and capability. We are open to different levels of experience. Salary will reflect the level of experience and responsibility you are able to take on and the value you deliver to the business.
