Due to continued expansion and exciting new projects on the horizon, we currently have a vacancy for an experienced Construction Site Foreman to join our growing construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional who enjoys leading projects on site, maintaining high standards of workmanship and working as part of a close-knit team. Unlike many contractors, T J Atkin Ltd manages projects from initial concept and design through to completion.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Directly report to Site Management
  • Lead and Supervise 1 -2 groundworks gangs, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to programme.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate labour, plant, materials and deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with RAMS, Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Monitor quality throughout construction and ensure work is completed to specification.
  • Liaise with clients, project managers, subcontractors and internal office staff.
  • Identify and resolve site issues proactively.
  • Assist with planning works and sequencing construction activities.
  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries and site documentation.
  • Promote a positive working environment and lead by example.

Experience

  • Essential
  • Proven experience as a Working Site Foreman or Site Supervisor.
  • Experience coordinating multiple trades on live construction sites.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
  • Desirable
  • Experience working with in-house labour and subcontractors.
  • Temporary Works Awareness.

Qualifications

  • Essential
  • SSSTS or SMSTS.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Desirable
  • NVQ Level 3 or above in Construction Site Supervision or related discipline.
  • CPCS/NPORS qualifications.
  • Temporary Works Supervisor.
  • Appointed Person or Lift Supervisor qualifications.

Schedule

  • Full-time position.
  • Mainly Monday to Friday.
  • Site-based role.
  • Projects located predominantly throughout Yorkshire, with occasional national travel where required.
