Due to continued expansion and exciting new projects on the horizon, we currently have a vacancy for an experienced Architectural Technician / Architectural Technologist to join our growing team. We are looking for a candidate who enjoys practical construction and buildability rather than purely design-led work. Unlike many architectural practices, this role offers the opportunity to work closely with our in-house construction team and see projects progress from initial concept through to completion on site. You will have a direct influence on project delivery, working alongside experienced construction professionals and gaining practical experience across a diverse range of developments.

Using our own in-house team alongside specialist subcontractors, we handle projects of various scales, from the initial concept and design creation through the complete construction process to deliver our clients a completed project. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare concept and construction drawing packages.
  • Develop technical details, specifications and design information for a variety of industrial, commercial and agricultural projects.
  • Assist with projects from initial concept design through to construction and completion.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities, subcontractors and internal project teams.
  • Undertake site visits, surveys and inspections where required.
  • Ensure designs comply with Regulations, planning requirements and relevant industry standards.
  • Coordinate and manage design information throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Produce accurate construction details and technical documentation.
  • Assist project managers and site teams with technical queries during construction.
  • Maintain accurate project records, drawing registers and revision control.

Qualifications

  • Essential: HNC/HND, Degree equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology, Architecture, Construction Design or a related discipline.
  • Desirable: CIAT membership or working towards professional accreditation. Relevant industry experience within industrial, commercial or agricultural construction sectors.

Licence / Certification

  • Full UK Driving Licence required.
  • CSCS Card

Schedule

  • Full-time position. Mix of site and remote working. Mainly Monday to Friday. National site visits and travel may be required.
