The company is looking to hire a Creative Artworker, and a mid-weight artworker with relevant packaging experience in food, drinks and/or cosmetics. As a Creative Artworker, you will be experienced in design, packaging artwork, and working with styleguides. You will take ownership of the design and creative implementation process, incorporating guidelines into master artwork/templates to ensure design aspiration works across all pack formats.

To help and support the creation and management of all required master assets and to feed into the styleguide process where appropriate. Tjarks and Tjarks has 30 years of experience of designing and producing brands that win at the retail shelf. Our clients trust us time and again, over decades, to lead them through the changing dynamics of the shopper world and to design packaging that ensures their brands are picked first.

Create and adapt packaging master templates/artworks from supplied design assets (style guides, brand guidelines, master templates, front face artworks) and brief supplied. Responsible for reducing queries between design and artwork and being the decision maker on the rollout and implementation of the range. To have excellent brand and design awareness, actively supporting the design and artwork teams to ensure consistent brand rollout.

Responsible for the collation of all assets related to design adaptations for release to artwork. Support the process for locking down colours and building master templates/artworks appropriate to print process. Work closely with members of the production and account management teams to identify efficiencies and process. Set up and monitor brand masters as required.

  • 3+ years of artworker experience
  • Excellent FMCG packaging experience
  • Expert knowledge of packaging artwork and associated printing technologies
  • Excellent knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Demonstration of precision and excellent attention to detail from photography, typography and file set up to follow the client’s guidelines and requirements
  • Effective project manager, able to manage workload
  • Demonstrates initiative, is creative and contributes ideas
  • Flexible, adaptable, calm whilst working under pressure
