The Company is seeking to recruit a Brand Guideline Designer/Manager to support the brand guidelines department in an exciting new role.

The company is seeking candidates with branding/client relationship building skills in order to take the brief from the client, through to creating the guidelines and demonstrating creative skills.

Experience in packaging design, print processes and artwork is essential along with knowledge/experience of writing brand/corporate guidelines.

Fluency in German language skills is highly advantageous, efficiency and an eye for detail are essential, along with the ambition and drive to grow with the company.

What we are looking for?

  • You will have a background in packaging artwork and design, and/or good knowledge in print processes.
  • Branding experience in a creative environment, experience/knowledge of the full brand lifecycle and able to develop, communicate and implement effective brand strategies and deliver against objectives and deadlines.
  • Experience in crafting detailed corporate guidelines, brand guidelines, style guides or annual reports is advantageous, you will have the ability to learn this quickly.
  • You must be a conceptual thinker and have a highly logical, systematic approach to your work.
  • You have an eagle eye to ensure a consistent, high level of precision and accuracy – you will guarantee the technical accuracy of all guidelines documentation.
  • Experience of people management and motivation would be advantageous.
  • You thrive in a deadline-driven and fast paced project environment.
  • You like to work collaboratively across teams.
  • You take complete ownership of all assigned projects from initial briefing through to final presentation.
  • You have excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • You have the ability to work independently managing multiple concurrent projects.

What will you be responsible for?

  • You will learn quickly where required about the entire brand guideline process, your aim will be to make sure that the department is running smoothly and ensuring new and existing guidelines are to the highest standard.
  • Brand management for corporate clients which includes developing brands; the strategy of initiation of creating brands through to the creation of brand guidelines, in accordance with required deadlines.
  • Assist and/or manage staff scheduling, weekly guidelines meetings and ensure a cost efficient turnaround of all guidelines within budget.
  • Assist and/or oversee the complete internal and external lifecycle of all brand guidelines, ensuring that all tasks are carried out to the required standard.
  • Assist and/or lead and mentor the team to ensure consistent high standards, completion of all projects to deadlines and to provide continuous development.
  • Provide expert advice to the design and artwork departments about which master elements of the new brands need to be prepared, artworked or retouched before work can commence on the guidelines.
  • Systematically and logically analyse projects, and advise on the most logical structure and content of guidelines.
  • Understand which elements of the new brands need to be included, explained and detailed in the guidelines.
  • Foresee, identify, discuss and solve any potential problems in relation to creating new brands.
  • Oversee the setting up of new guidelines, based on existing templates and guideline examples including the design and layout of individual pages.
  • Ensure that all design examples within the guidelines are consistent and fully comply with all associated guidelines.
  • Ensure that guidelines are clear, logical, comprehensive and easy to understand; liaise internally to discuss, manage and implement changes until final approval.
