About the role

As bookkeeper/accounts assistant to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for general bookkeeping and a variety of day‑to‑day accounting tasks. You will have bookkeeper experience, be proficient using Sage and be full or part qualified – AAT or ACCA.

  • General bookkeeping (accounts payable/accounts receivable/prepayments/accruals)
  • Recording all financial transactions on Sage 50 accounting software
  • Raising payment of approved invoices by BACS
  • Raising invoices as required and directed by the financial controller
  • Preparing ad‑hoc financial reporting
  • Holiday cover for team members, assisting with required tasks
  • Assisting the Financial controller with designated tasks including general administration tasks
  • Assisting with the preparing of annual accounts for different jurisdictions
  • Managing filing of documents efficiently both on the system and manually
  • Assisting with technology changes to drive automation and the use of AI.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Possess a minimum of 3 years bookkeeping experience
  • German or Dutch language skills advantageous.
  • Be experienced in international accounting ideally including the US and The Netherlands
  • International Bookkeeping in different currencies would be advantageous
  • Be full or part qualified AAT or ACCA
  • Be highly skilled in using Excel spreadsheets
  • Have high levels of integrity and dependability
  • Experience in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel).
  • Ability to balance and own workload.
  • Flexible and self‑motivated with the energy and drive to deliver in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience with automation and AI would be highly advantageous
