As bookkeeper/accountant to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for general bookkeeping and a variety of day-to-day accounting tasks. You will have bookkeeping experience, be proficient using Sage and be full or part qualified β AAT or ACCA.
Your responsibilities could include but are not limited to the following:
- General bookkeeping (accounts payable/accounts receivable/prepayments/accruals)
- Recording all financial transactions on Sage 50 accounting software
- Raising payment of approved invoices by BACS
- Raising invoices as required and directed by the financial controller
- Preparing ad hoc financial reporting
- Holiday cover for team members, assisting with required tasks
- Assisting the Financial Controller with designated tasks including general administration tasks
- Assisting with the preparation of annual accounts for different jurisdictions
- Managing filing of documents efficiently both on the system and manually
- Assisting with technology changes to drive automation and the use of AI
Skills / Qualifications:
- Possess a minimum of 3 years bookkeeping experience
- German or Dutch language skills advantageous
- Be experienced in international accounting ideally including the US and The Netherlands
- International bookkeeping in different currencies would be advantageous
- Be full or part qualified AAT or ACCA
- Be highly skilled in using Excel spreadsheets
- Have high levels of integrity and dependability
- Experience in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel)
- Ability to balance and own workload
- Flexible and self-motivated with the energy and drive to deliver in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with automation and AI would be highly advantageous
