Quantum Care are looking to recruit people from a cross section of the community to contribute effectively as Non-Executive Directors at Quantum Care Ltd. Following a recent skills audit of the Board, the following areas have been identified as being essential for the future development of the organisation: clinical practice, property development, ICT, Local Authority relationships, together with an understanding of risk management and strategic planning.
We are keen to recruit people with a balanced approach to providing high quality care within defined financial constraints. We are also keen to increase representation on the Board with people from ethnic minority backgrounds, women and people living with a disability.
Previous Experience and Knowledge- Experience of working as an effective team member, possibly as a member of a Board of Directors or Management Committee member.
- Experience of team management at a senior level.
- Strategic planning and financial management.
- Professional experience at a senior level, with experience in one or more of the following specialist areas desirable: clinical practice, ICT, property development, Local Authority relationships.
- Experience/knowledge of the issues concerning the care needs of frail older people.
- An understanding of the role of a Non-Executive Director and the role of Governance within an organisation such as Quantum Care Ltd.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team with other Board members and the Executive Team.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to think creatively and objectively.
- Ability to actively participate in meetings, challenging constructively whilst respecting the views and opinions of others.
- Ability to understand and analyse written and financial reports and to identify key points for discussion.
- Ability to make balanced and informed decisions and judgements.
- Ability to act as an ambassador for Quantum Care Ltd at formal and informal events.
- Directors need to possess integrity, common sense, good judgement, tenacity and strength of character.
- Directors should possess an empathy with the aims, values and mission of Quantum Care Ltd.
- Directors must be able to attend seven Board meetings per year including two full day events and be available to attend Sub-Committee meetings and Home visits as required.
- Board meetings and Sub-Committee meetings are generally held during the working day, subject to Directors’ availability.
- You are likely to live in or close to one of the counties which we serve.
