Job Introduction:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our field based Merchandising Team who travel and cover our stores nationwide. Our Merchandising Team Members are responsible for setting up and merchandising new store locations from scratch ready for their grand openings, as well as revamping existing stores and helping to implement new store projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail, the ability to identify key trends through proactive research and social media and a strong focus on achieving visually pleasing displays throughout our network of Home Bargains stores that put us at the forefront of our competitors. This role requires travel and overnight stays for four nights each week, including weekends, with night working. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is looking for a role that offers tonnes of creative freedom and the ability to bring their fresh ideas into fruition.
Job Overview:
- Travel with the Merchandising Team to Home Bargains stores throughout the UK preparing new stores for opening
- Travel to existing store locations to revamp current displays
- Work in conjunction with Retail Operations to ensure strong and consistent visual merchandising
- Ensure excellent visual standards are maintained
- Assess competitor activity, ensuring store merchandising is on trend and appropriate to our customer base and maximises sales potential
- Work to tight deadlines
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal systems and practices
Requirements:
- A full UK driving licence
- For fleet insurance requirements, be at least 25 years of age
- Hardworking and reliable
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A confident communicator with excellent problem solving skills and a real 'can do' attitude
- Experience in merchandising preferable
- Experience of working in a high volume, fast paced business is advantageous although not essential
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of store health and safety and security
