You will also support Group recharges, intercompany transactions and month-end activities, helping to ensure deadlines are met and financial information is reliable.
This role would suit someone with experience in transactional finance, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied workload. You will work with colleagues across the business, customers and suppliers to resolve queries and keep finance processes running smoothly.
Job Overview
- Process supplier invoices and credit notes, ensuring the correct company, financial coding, VAT treatment and approvals.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts, investigating and resolving any differences.
- Reconcile supplier statements, respond to queries and prepare accurate, authorised supplier payment runs.
- Raise sales invoices and credit notes, allocate customer receipts and resolve unallocated payments and account differences.
- Respond to customer queries and support the collection of overdue balances.
- Record banking transactions, including receipts, payments and fees, and assist with bank reconciliations.
- Calculate and post Group recharges and intercompany transactions, reconciling balances and resolving differences before month-end.
- Complete month-end reconciliations, journals and supporting schedules within agreed deadlines.
- Maintain accurate financial records, supporting documents and audit trails in line with Group policies, VAT requirements and internal controls.
- Provide information to support financial reporting, reviews and audits.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and support the wider Finance team with other activities as required.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar finance role.
- Experience working across multiple legal entities, including intercompany transactions, Group recharges and reconciliations.
- A good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, VAT and financial coding.
- Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Confidence using finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
- A methodical and accurate approach, with good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
