Following Titan Wealth's acquisition of Innes Reid, we are seeking an experienced Financial Planner to join the Chester office and play a key role in the next chapter of the firm's growth. Established for over 26 years, Innes Reid has built an outstanding reputation within the financial planning market through entirely organic growth. The business employs around 30 people, including 10 Financial Planners, and generates between 40 and 60 client enquiries every month through its strong reputation and referral network. The firm takes a selective approach to client onboarding, focusing on building long-term relationships with individuals and families who value high-quality financial advice. Their client base primarily consists of professionals, business owners, self-employed individuals and retirees seeking trusted, holistic financial planning support.

The Opportunity

This position has arisen due to the planned retirement of a long-serving Director who has been with the business for more than 20 years. As a result, the successful Financial Planner will inherit a mature and established client portfolio, providing an exceptional platform from which to build a long-term and successful career. The portfolio consists of approximately:

  • 200–230 households
  • Over £450,000 in recurring annual revenue
  • Significant assets under management
  • A loyal and established client base
  • Continued access to quality leads generated by the business

Alongside inheriting existing relationships, you will also benefit from ongoing lead generation and referral opportunities, creating scope for further growth over time. You will be responsible for delivering holistic financial planning advice and managing long-term client relationships across a broad range of financial planning needs, including:

  • Retirement Planning
  • Investment Advice
  • Pension Planning
  • Estate Planning
  • Protection Planning
  • Intergenerational Wealth Planning

You will work closely with a highly experienced support team and be backed by dedicated administration and paraplanning support, enabling you to focus on client outcomes and relationship management. We are interested in speaking with Financial Planners who combine technical capability with excellent interpersonal skills. You’ll ideally demonstrate:

  • Previous experience as a Financial Planner / Financial Adviser
  • Level 4 Diploma qualified (minimum)
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • A client-centric approach to financial planning
  • A stable and consistent career history
  • Professionalism, warmth and credibility when engaging with clients
  • The ability to build trust and establish long-term relationships

Whilst technical experience is important, personality and cultural fit are equally critical. The hiring manager is looking for somebody who clients naturally feel comfortable with and who embodies the firm's relationship-led approach to financial planning.

On-site and nearby parking available. Due to the nature of the client base and team culture, advisers are expected to maintain a strong office presence and actively engage with colleagues and clients. This is a hybrid working role - 3 days in the office and 2 from home.
