About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Freight Procurement Analyst to join our logistics brokerage team. This role is critical in supporting our response to customer RFPs and ensuring competitive, accurate pricing across a variety of freight types including dry van, reefer, flatbed, and oversized loads. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fuel surcharge schedules and 2–3 years of hands-on experience in freight pricing.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Analyze and respond to customer Request for Proposals (RFPs) with strategic pricing solutions.
  • Develop and maintain pricing.
  • Interpret and apply fuel surcharge schedules and other accessorial charges.
  • Effectively collaborate with sales, operations, and carrier relations teams to ensure pricing aligns with market conditions and service capabilities.
  • Monitor industry trends, lane data, and carrier rates to optimize pricing strategies.
  • Maintain and update internal pricing databases and tools.

Position Requirements:

  • Tech savvy with the use of a computer with the ability to regularly adapt to new and changing software.
  • 2–3 years of industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of North American freight markets.
  • Familiarity with fuel surcharge schedules and transportation cost structures.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; experience with TMS or pricing software is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to manage multiple RFPs and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Post secondary education in a related field is an asset.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with carrier networks and understanding rate negotiations.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance standards.
  • Exposure to LTL and intermodal pricing is an asset.
